
Joseph Wong
Joseph Wong is the Executive Director of Cascadia Living Wisdom, partnering with Dr. David G. Benner to facilitate awakening and learning from the wisdom traditions. Joseph is also the Director of the Tyndale Spiritual Formation Centre, where he provides direction and oversees spiritual formation programs and services to promote spiritual growth and opportunities for people to give attention to their souls.

Christa Hesselink
Christa Hesselink has been guiding individuals and groups as they dig deeper into their spiritual life for her entire twenty-five-year career, working in higher education, non-profit development, and church ministry. She is the founder of SoulPlay, and is a well-respected keynote speaker, workshop facilitator and retreat leader. Her focus content includes: transformation & vulnerability, the inner-life of an effective leader, contemplative spirituality, grief & loss, and soul care. Christa is known for her strategic and collaborative approach to working with individuals and teams and her greatest satisfaction comes when designing compelling experiences for people to slow down so they can wake up to their own soul. She holds a Master’s of Leadership and a Master’s of Theology degree and has been named a “Hero of Children” from World Vision Canada. She is the Canadian best-selling author of Life’s Great Dare and the founder of the Love2Love Project which supports vulnerable children in multiple countries around the world. Christa is a certified coach and certified spiritual director with the Haden Institute. She has also completed the intensive Enneagram coach training program with the Narrative Tradition. Rooted in the Christian tradition, Christa has found deep meaning and hope, and enjoys companioning others who endeavour to deepen their connection to God – to Spirit, Source and Soul.

James Robertson
Dr. James Tyler Robertson is Assistant Professor of Christian History and Director of Distributed Learning at Tyndale University. He teaches the History of Christianity as well as courses on Canadian Christianity and Evangelicalism. His areas of research are on Church and War, Canadian Religious History, and Historical Theology.

Keitha Ogbogu
Keitha Ogbogu is the lead pastor at West Springs Church in Calgary, Alberta. A former teacher, she is passionate about the power of mentorship and especially enjoys encouraging young men and women who are called to preach, to speak and lead. Her pastoral work has affirmed her love for the nations, her pursuit of justice and, of course, her call to preach. She believes that the church holds the potential to transform neighbourhoods, cities and individuals when we get it right. She is married to Cyril and together they are raising two black princes, Samuel and Emmanuel.

Andrew Root
Andrew Root (Ph.D., Princeton Theological Seminary) is the Carrie Olson Baalson Professor of Youth and Family Ministry at Luther Seminary, USA. He writes and researches in areas of theology, ministry, culture and younger generations. His most recent books are The Congregation in a Secular Age (Baker, 2021), The End of Youth Ministry? (Baker, 2020), The Pastor in a Secular Age: Ministry to People Who No Longer Need God (Baker, 2019), Faith Formation in a Secular Age (Baker, 2017), and Exploding Stars, Dead Dinosaurs, and Zombies: Youth Ministry in the Age of Science (Fortress Press, 2018).

Alicia Wilson
Alicia Wilson lives in community with 10 others in Hamilton, Ontario. She is the founder of Restoration Project, a non-profit that teaches woodworking to adults with developmental disabilities. She is also the co-founder of a new housing movement called In My Backyard (IMBY for short). Alicia studied at McMaster Divinity College, where she finished her MTS.

Bernard Tam
Bernard Tam is a coffee enthusiast, neighbourhood connector and one of the pastors at The Living Room Church in Midtown, Toronto. Regularly you can find Bernard at local specialty coffee shops learning to be present in the neighbourhood while enjoying every sip of locally roasted coffee. He is also one of the cohosts of the Canadian Asian Missional Podcast - a conversation that engages with the movements of the Canadian Asian Church.

Jeff Steckley
Jeff is an educator, transformational coach and well-known community initiatives facilitator who has embraced his calling to design and facilitate change-inspiring conversations, develop and equip leaders, and curate transformational space which deeply honours diverse journeys and life experiences. Jeff has an insatiable curiosity and desire to help others learn and grow in ways that lead to whole-hearted engagement.
Together with his wife, Jan Steckley, they have recently launched Threshold Commons, offering coaching and companioning spaces where individuals and groups can discover the transformative power of the “in between” spaces of life. Jeff and Jan are the lead developers and facilitators of New Leaf’s Discernment Pathway.

Jan Steckley
Jan is a pastor, spiritual director and transformational coach. She lives on the creative edge and is passionate about creating a supportive space for relationships that are real, honest, authentic and mutual. Jan has a lifetime of experience companioning others through some of life’s most significant threshold moments and in engaging others in the learning and reflection that makes growth possible.

Ellen Duffield
Ellen Duffield is the Coordinator of the Paul E. Magnus Centre for Leadership Studies, an Affiliate with The Leader’s Village, and an author, speaker, consultant and coach. Her areas of study could be summarized as learning to create environments in which men and women thrive. She is married to Tim, and together they have 2 children and 6 grandchildren. Ellen and Tim moved to Saskatchewan where they are loving the big sky, and learning to survive the cold winter!

Krista-Dawn Kimsey
Krista-Dawn Kimsey is a descendent from a Ukrainian-German Canadian prairie heritage, a mostly pleasant wife to Joel and an often spontaneous parent to her two teenagers: Judah and Gabriella. She currently serves on an executive team to lead Servant Partners Canada a Christian missional non-profit that inspires people to seek the Shalom of their city by working alongside their neighbours in marginalized communities. For 25 years, her vocational passion has been to facilitate creative and transformational learning experiences to disciple, coach leaders and pursue greater justice around the world. Krista-Dawn uses her musical gifts, creative exploration and love of good food for ministry purposes as well as with friends and neighbours in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver where she currently lives.

Huan Ricki Chen
Born in Taiwan, raised in Montreal, Ricki felt called to live incarnationally in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside and pursue grassroots organizing and church planting with Servant Partners Canada starting back in 2012. Her areas of particular passion include Wealth at the Bottom projects, freedom businesses, ethnic identity healing journeys, as well as discerning with and equipping people to do the work of developing local leaders who hold the vision to transform their urban poor neighbourhoods for the common good.
Ricki holds an M.Div through Fuller Theological Seminary, is a certified life coach, as well as a certified ACE personal trainer! Things she finds particularly joy inducing: a dry trail run, al dente noodles, dessert paired with coffee, ugly laughing, and cuddling with those she loves.

Chris Orme
Chris lives in Burlington Ontario, is a husband, father and lover of Jesus. Chris serves on the Church and Community engagement team with World Renew Canada. With a focus on faith and justice, moving theology into action and standing with marginalized communities Chris loves to see faith communities activate their full potential as they seek to faithfully bear witness to the extravagant love of God for all people. Chris is the host of "Do Justice", a podcast produced by the Office of Social Justice in partnership with World Renew.

Iona Buisman
Iona is the Program Manager for World Renew’s Global Volunteer Program. She is passionate about global and local community development and engaging volunteers in using the gifts God has given them to serve the Kingdom. Iona equips individuals, schools, groups, and churches to serve with World Renew in sustainable ways through healthy partnerships. Iona has been involved in local community development for about 20 years in Brampton, Burlington, and Barrie,Ontario.

Beth Anne Fisher
Beth Anne Fisher is passionate about integrating spiritual and psychological truths to support whole-person thriving. She is currently the Spiritual and Community Life Coordinator at Emmanuel College, Victoria University, University of Toronto, Toronto School of Theology. She is also a PhD candidate at Emmanuel in the area of psycho-spiritual support for faith leaders. Beth Anne holds an MDiv from Wycliffe College and is part of the leadership team at Two Rivers Church, a mission of the Presbyterian Church in Canada.

Cid Latty
Rev Cid Latty served in pastoral ministry for over 15 years with the Baptist Union of Great Britain before joining Canadian Baptist of Ontario and Quebec as the Congregational Development Associate. He co-founded the Cafechurch Network which helped to start more than a hundred café churches in commercial coffee shops all over the UK. Today his focus is church planting and church revitalization. He is married to Alison and they have two children.

Jesse Sudirgo
Jesse Sudirgo is the Director of the Masters of Divinity Church in the City (In-Ministry) Program and Assistant Professor of Contextual Ministry at Tyndale Seminary. He has a diverse breadth of experience in multiple disciplines of ministry in both the church and non-profit sectors. He is the former Director of Street-Involved Services at the YSM Evergreen Centre and continues to consult with churches in their engagement with poverty in the city. He brings to his work a conviction for interdisciplinary theological reflection that considers those most marginalized in society. His background in church planting in Boston Massachusetts has shaped his interests in missional lay leadership, community development, and urban poverty.

Jay Mowchenko
Jay Mowchenko, DMin., is Assistant Professor of Leadership and Management at Briercrest Seminary. In his own words: “I’ve been married to Marilou since 1993, and together we have raised Keisha and Joshua. I’ve also served the Free Methodist Church as a pastor since 1993 - that was a big year for me! Since 2018, I’ve moved out of the pastoral role to seek opportunities to more effectively mentor and multiply leaders. I love facilitating growth and discovery in any context, so I’m thrilled to be part of the Briercrest community. Some of my other passions in life are: fantasy novels, swords & sword-fighting, beach volleyball and video games.”

Jeff Nevan
Jeff Neven serves as the CEO of Indwell, a Christian charity that creates affordable housing communities to support people seeking health, wellness, and belonging in southern and southwestern Ontario. With a firm belief in the values of dignity, love, and hope, Jeff and his team have grown Indwell from supporting just seven tenants to providing homes and supports for 850 people with over 760 units under construction/development. Jeff is an established community leader, actively involved with his church community, youth neighbourhood engagement, active transportation, and homelessness prevention. He and his wife Maria and their four children live in Hamilton.
