Thursday April 8th, 15th, 22nd, & 29th - 1:30pm EST

Jesus is present and at work across Canada, in our neighbourhoods, in our relational networks and in our own lives. How can we as pastors, planters and ministry leaders grow in our capacity to be present and discern the ways Jesus is at work in the spaces we inhabit?

Join us for our 4 week series, featuring practitioners, thought leaders and pastors who are engaged in what it means to be present and embodied while practicing the ways of Jesus.

 

More and more, the desire grows in me simply to walk around, greet people, enter their homes, sit on their doorsteps, play ball, throw water, and be known as someone who wants to live with them. It is a privilege to have the time to practice this simple ministry of presence. - Henri Nouwen

Erinn joined the The Dale team in 2007. In 2012 she was invited to become the full-time Executive Director and Pastor. Erinn is passionate about fostering a sense of community for all people, while placing at the core those who have known marginalization. She studied at both Tyndale University College & Seminary, and Humber College and is now ordained through the CBOQ. Erinn has extensive experience working with people who are street involved, underhoused and trying to cope with substance addiction and mental health issues. Preston Pouteaux is a beekeeper, neighbourhood enthusiast, pastor at Lake Ridge Community Church and the director of Plesion Studio. He is the award-winning author of The Bees of Rainbow Falls: Finding Faith, Imagination, and Delight in Your Neighbourhood, and of The Neighbours Are Real and Other Beautiful Things. Preston lives in Chestermere, Alberta, with his wife Kelly, their daughters Scotia and Ivy, and a few thousand honeybees.

Downtown Windsor Community Collaborative (DWCC), a new monastic community of neighbours who live in walking distance of one another in downtown Windsor.

Bob is husband to Margo, a father of four adult daughters, and a known character in his neighbourhood. He’s a man full of inspiring ideas, a love for his neighbours, and a joy like no other. From alley parties to soccer in the park, breakfast club to walking his neighbourhood, Bob is always found in the crowd, bringing laughter to his friends. He is a catalyst of ideas, a connector of people, and he’s the visionary leader of the DWCC.

Steve is husband to Emily, a father of four young kids, and he can often be found supporting others from behind the scenes. He’s a details guy with a keen eye, and he helps create and curate space and life-giving liturgy for the community. He’s a lover of food and good coffee, someone who is always learning new skills, and he’s our in-house designer and videographer. He’s a communicator of ideas, and he’s the operational leader of the DWCC.
