Ep28 - (Part Two) What happened to the women? A history of women & church planting in the PAOC - Dr

Episode 28 of the New Leaf Project is here, part two of our interview with Linda Ambrose!

There was a time in Canada when women were a large part of church planting in the Canadian Pentecostal movement. Early in the 20th century, Pentecostal women were hand picked, trained, promoted and encouraged to plant churches and make disciples. These women planted hundreds of churches across Canada and many PAOC churches can trace it's roots to a women planter. As these churches became established, women were absent from leadership and their names almost erased from history.

In part two of this two part series, Elle interviews Laurentian University historian Dr Linda Ambrose. Linda is working to recover these stories of women church planters and shares with her findings of gender, church planting and the birth of women's ministry in the post-war years in Canada.
